Front
Jerry Garcia & Howard Wales "Hooteroll?2"
When the Grateful Dead weren't on the road, or playing in town, Jerry
Garcia sought out musicians to play with who turned him on. Garcia enjoyed
jamming with keyboard wizard Howard Wales, a brilliant musician who inspired
him to explore new musical territory, more jazz than folk or rock. Hooteroll?
is a testament to how great a guitar player Jerry was, when, as in these
sessions, the band and the mood were so right. The bonus tapes from the
Hooteroll Tour on Hooteroll? +2 give us a chance to hear Garcia & Wales,
playing and singing before a live audience, back in '72, having a good
time.
